Job Description:
Sappi Global Business Services requires a Payroll Administrator to support the Payroll Consultant in executing payroll processes and support the running of payroll and subsequent processing activities for Sappi Limited and its subsidiaries that are aimed at achieving the organisational strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhoc Payroll related functions
- Assist in providing an integrated employee payroll service
- Assist the Payroll Consultant in the optimisation of systems and resources
- Assist in maintaining clerical and administrative processes and systems in Payroll
- Identify payroll related errors and propose corrective action
- Maintain sound Payroll Governance and ensure Standard Operating Procedures are in place
- Provide a support function to the Payroll Consultant
- Responsible for the routine administrative tasks in the Payroll function relating to accurate data capturing, workflows, leave quotas, benefit management, allowances, leave encashment etc.
- Assist the Payroll Consultant to ensure all payroll queries are resolved
Job Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Finance Degree or equivalent
- 1-2 Years’ experience in an administrative role with knowledge of Payroll
- A sound knowledge of MS Office, Employee Central and SAP Payroll Systems
- Advanced Excel skills
