Job Description:

We are looking for a Head of Strategy to facilitate long term strategy development and provide company management with strategy updates. In this role you will be required to develops and implement a strategy definition and implementation process in the division, including measurements against long term strategy. You will also be required to provide management with corporate performance measures and competitor analysis and ensures functional alignment with Group strategy. This role provides you with the opportunity to develop partnerships, strategic alliances and associations whilst representing the company’s views effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate special cross-cutting projects for RBB through coordination and resourcing.
  • Demonstrate understanding and support of Nedbank Strategy by ensuring all aspects are covered in conversations, debates and development of cluster strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders through participation in industry bodies, Nedbank committees and forums
  • Ensure execution of strategic initiatives through monitoring and benchmarking of outcomes.
  • Facilitate discussions on key strategic interventions through business meetings.
  • Build synergy across business functions through collaboration.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders by identifying and responding to their business and communication needs.
  • Facilitate the formulation of strategy to inform the three year business plan.Identify and analyse key trends to improve business competitiveness.
  • Compile strategic planning framework through joint facilitation with the planning team
  • Provide planning guidelines in line with the planning team and making strategic choices in line with business imperatives.
  • Report on key strategic outcomes/results to various stakeholders (staff; regulators; share holders; clients and communities) through reports and presentations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through regular engagement and knowledge sharing.
  • Evaluate threats and opportunities in terms of impact and risk through market analytics and research.
  • Work closely with business executives to translate new ideas into new opportunities for the bank by having distinctively original ideas, unique points of view, pioneering thinking and new insights
