DSV Recruitment – Business Dev Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Updating our CRM system on a daily and weekly basis.
• Ensuring that required call rates are met as part of your KPI’s
• Managing clients’ DSO’s
• Report weekly to Regional Sales Manager
• Prospect for new business and develop a qualified pipeline of leads and convert to actual billing.
• To sign new business for the Cape Town Distribuiton branch and meet monthly and annual new business targets set.
• Assist in tender / proposal production and delivery thereof
• Represent the DSV brand
• Analysis of sales related information and ability to translate the information to show benefits to client and company
• Maintaining client contractual data
• Competitor and industry analysis
• Ensure that required deadlines are met.
• Ensure that sustainable clients are brought on board.
• To record all client meetings on company CRM.
• To meet KPI’s as set by business.

Job Requirements:

• Courier or transport industry experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Courier / Logistics industry. Or 5-10 years’ experience in a transport Sales and Marketing environment.
• Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
• Good Presentation skills
• Basic understanding of industry supply chains
• Experience in prospecting for new business & managing a qualified new business pipeline
• Matric essential
• Strong new business development skills
• Experience in achieving new business targets set
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
