Job Description:

The Campaign Manager is a subject matter expert in campaign development and go-to-market planning for major marketing campaigns at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in market campaigns including; fare sales, product launches, value proposition, major consumer brand partnerships (Starbucks, Amazon, Nordstrom, etc…), leveraging sponsorships (i.e. Disneyland, etc…), competitive defense campaigns and global airline partners. The person in this role will thrive with minimal direction and provide smart and bold recommendations to address strategy for how we deliver campaigns to our target audiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drives agency management for business areas and product marketing campaigns, including motivating and compelling the best creative, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, and being a generally great client partner who can get the best performance out of our agencies.
  • Exercise judgment to make decisions for key campaigns, influencing media planning, creative campaign development, ecommerce initiatives, social, PR and more. Ensures that all campaign elements are synergistic in tone and target.
  • Influential in cross-functional efforts to drive overall marketing communications strategy (go-to-market) for major marketing campaigns, as well as other critical business initiatives, making data-driven decisions that are based on audience insight and understanding.
  • Creates & develops compelling, audience-specific messaging in support of focus business areas and performs deep, data-driven analysis of businesses and business performance to surface actionable insights.
  • Networks effectively across internal teams to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages.
  • Manages the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and continuously managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders. Communicates marketing plans and strategy to senior leadership.
  • Leads the integrated marketing communications briefings and campaign planning, ensuring alignment across all channels and groups.
  • Manages the campaign process for key product and audience campaigns from planning to creative briefs through production and approvals.

Job Requirements:

  • The ability to influence, as well as superior verbal and written communication skills, including significant experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in building presentations in PowerPoint and constructing and navigating spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 4 years of experience in campaign marketing or a related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, marketing, or a related discipline, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Strong ability to collect and leverage customer insights to inform marketing strategy.
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
