Univision Employment – Manager, Marketing Research

Job Description:

Univision is seeking a Manager, Marketing Research in the local research department to service their Univision owned and operated Television, Radio, and Digital business for the Los Angeles and San Francisco DMAs. The Manager, Marketing Research reports to the Regional Director, Local Research and will work in tandem with the local Business Development division by compiling consumer and market insights, creating presentations and marketing materials to be used by Univision Local Media for business development and retention purposes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Nielsen and a variety of other research tools.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works across corporate and local departments including Local Research, Sales, Promotions, News, Community Affairs, Corporate Research and Strategy and Insights to gather and create materials on their reporting markets and Hispanic consumers
• Creates marketing material utilizing department marketing research resources including Scarborough, Simmons, Kantar, Geoscape, IHS Markit, Nielsen ratings and other vendor or public domain research and business development databases
• Develops and maintains reporting and tools for new business prospecting and tracking
• Develops and maintains local market presentations, value presentations and media kits
• Creates client ready PowerPoint presentations utilizing all available and vetted research sources on marketing research, consumer trends and local audience for internal and external meetings
• Attends and presents in internal and client meetings when the opportunities arise

Job Requirements:

• Ability to create and manage post event surveys via tools such as SurveyMonkey
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written, required
• Thorough knowledge of Nielsen ratings and methodology, as well as other syndicated research tools
• Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Word
• Bachelor’s degree required (B.A./B.S)
• 3+ years of relevant experience at a medium to large market TV station, broadcast or cable network, radio station, ad agency, rep firm, or syndicator
