The Senior Copywriter is an experienced creative who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are known for turning strategy and insights into clever, conversational copy for a variety of channels. You’re comfortable with short and long-form writing, crafting strong headlines and engaging content. You’re also a self-learner and student of culture, beauty, lifestyle and retail trends.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Editorial Manager in concepting campaign-level messaging
- Exhibit a mastery of the Ulta Beauty voice by writing engaging copy that communicates marketing messages for in-store signage, print catalogs, direct mailers and other assets as assigned
- Pitch and articulate ideas to stakeholders, up to an executive level
- Collaborate and communicate across departments for resources as needed
- Self-manage projects and workflows, working independently and as part of a team
- Brainstorm and concept with designers and cross-functional partners across departments
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in beauty, retail or editorial a plus
- Agency, content studio, and/or editorial publishing experience a plus
- Adobe InDesign/InCopy experience a plus
- Assist Editorial Manager in coaching other copywriters as needed
alendars - Stay current on competitive research and best practices in beauty and retail
- 5+ years copywriting experience
- BA in English, Journalism, Communications or Advertising
- Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence in communications and feedback
