Suncor Energy Jobs – Market Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

• Support our senior leadership, downstream business, strategy, and finance organization
• Translate the impact of evolving government regulations on the downstream markets
• Provide strategic advice and guide the long-term growth of the ST&O business unit and corporation
• Translate the market outlook into corporate strategy and opportunities
• Combine research, proprietary insights, and multiple data sources to model refined product supply and demand fundamentals
• Maintain and expand our refined product market expertise, primarily diesel and jet fuel
• A keen awareness of the energy transition, such as changes to carbon markets and biofuels
• Support various midstream and downstream projects

Job Requirements:

• The ability to make clear recommendations and form opinions without complete knowledge of the future
• Strong economic, mathematical, technical and statistical skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills collaboration skills
• Understanding of crude oil, refined products markets, or refinery operations
• Six years of analytical experience, preferably market analysis
• The ability to put ideas into clear and concise executive briefings and presentations
