Job Responsibilities:

• Research and presentation of Sensory Stimulation Therapy
• Liaison between the elderly, management, and nursing staff to ensure elderly are being taken care of
• Liaison with family and the older person
• Evaluations (DQ98) of elderly before admission as well as follow-up after admission
• Development and presentation of Active Ageing programmes
• Admissions of elderly (all contact regarding queries of admissions, contact with applicants, all admin involved with the evaluation and admission process, placement of patients in terms of their cognitive and physical functionality)
• Counselling with the elderly and staff – when needed
• Compilation of IDP’s, Care Plans and Psycho-Social Plans for elderly
