Job Description:
The HSRC wishes to appoint an Employee Wellbeing Practitioner who will be responsible for all HSRC wellness related initiatives, EAP referrals, IOD reporting, Temporary disability monitoring, reasonable accommodation management, and exploring initiatives to enhance disability appointments to achieve equity targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design necessary preventive strategies to eliminate workplace stressors.
- Coordinates EAP Initiatives and/or referrals.
- Drive and embed Programmes to ensure management and employees are trained on
- Healthy Lives, Know your Numbers & Stress and Resilience.
- Drive wellbeing communications and workshops within the organisation.
- Conduct health awareness and training sessions.
- Administration of Employee Wellbeing messaging.
- Drive employee behaviour change to improve the wellbeing profile of employees towards the decrease in absenteeism through data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of nutrition, health and wellness interventions.
- Promote employee health initiatives.
- Provide quality rehabilitation support / advice to all employees of the HSRC.
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience.
- A relevant Degree in Behavioural Sciences i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counsellor, or Mental Health Nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Assertiveness and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and report writing.
- Knowledge of environmental and health hazards within the workplace.
- Knowledge of procedures followed when dealing with the compensation commissioner,
- Employee Assistance Programmes and disability experience.
- Must be registered with a professional body e.g. HPCSA, etc.
- Ability to identify health risks and determine appropriate action.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
