Job Description:
CAPRISA’s goal is to undertake globally relevant and locally responsive research that contributes to understanding HIV Vaccines and Pathogenesis, Prevention and Epidemiology, the links between Tuberculosis and AIDS treatment and Covid-19. CAPRISA is a UNAIDS Collaborating Centre for HIV Research and Policy and is recognised as a DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in HIV Prevention and hosts the SAMRC HIV-TB Pathogenesis and Treatment Research Unit.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with clinic operations
- Perform adhoc research activities
- Schedule participant visits, contact participants who have missed their scheduled visits to ascertain reason for missed visit and reschedule missed appointments
- Obtain informed consent from potential participants
- Provide study support
- Administer Case Report Forms (CRF’s) as needed
- Creating and building of participant files
- Assist with drafting SOP’s, training documents and process workflows
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Perform quality control of data collected
- Register participants and check to ensure that the visit is within the window
- Check to ensure that the participants’ fingerprints have been captured on the Biometric Co-enrollment Prevention System (BCEPS)
- Capture participant and visit details
- Implementation of Research protocols and assist in maintaining compliance with protocol, SOP’s and study procedures
Job Requirements:
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook)
- HIV/AIDS and TB knowledge
- Fluency in English and ability to speak isiZulu is an advantage
- Degree/ equivalent qualification in Social/ Health Sciences
- Previous Research experience
