Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development and management of remuneration strategy and policy
  • Develop and maintain a total reward strategy and model for the organisation.
  • Conduct regular salary benchmark projects and identify and guide external providers of benchmarking services.
  • Preparation for and administration of the annual salary review process, including guidelines to line management on the allocation of increases.
  • Execution and management of benefits
  • Coordination and implementation of the annual performance bonus allocation process in line with performance management outcomes.
  • Coordination and implementation of the annual pay progression process for all employees in line with performance management outcomes.
  • Job Analysis, Job Descriptions, and Job Evaluation
  • Monitoring and Reporting

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, HR and/ or Industrial Psychology
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, at a management level, with a proven track record of success.
  • Formulating and implementing Reward and Recognition strategy and policy
  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the reward industry.
  • Thorough understanding of financial principles and remuneration modelling, and an above average proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of labour legislation, including Basic Conditions of Employment Act. King Code and Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value.
  • Relevant Postgraduate qualification
  • GRP certification or SARA accreditation as Master/ Chartered Reward Specialist.
  • Experience in Organisational Design
  • Management consulting change and project management experience is advantageous.
