Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with business and data colleagues to determine and refine requirements, understand business needs and translate needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure that all aspects of the data platform are adequately managed i.e. data management, storage, access to data, data science and traditional reporting tools.
• Assist with research on development and trends in the area of Data Engineering.
• Ensure knowledge of industry standards as well as best practice and identify gaps.
• Identify and source data that will meet stakeholder requirements.
• Clean data as required to ensure accuracy.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of how to combine technical and business processes to combine data from disparate sources into meaningful and valuable information.
• The ability to plan, implement, integrate and control activities and processes to provide golden sources of contextual data.
• Knowledge of trends and developments in the health care industry.
• Knowledge of health-related policies, procedures and legislation.
• Knowledge of the central repository for all significant parts of data.
• Knowledge of data structuring, serialisation framework and optimisation of map reduce/spark jobs running in daily batch jobs.
• Working knowledge of multi/hybrid cloud environments and implementations.

Qualification & Experience:

• SAP BW ETL experience is advantageous.
• Experience in operationalising data science solutions or similar product development experience in a highscale production environment is advantageous.
• Project management or consulting experience applied in cross-functional projects is advantageous.
