Job Description:

Lead the development, deployment, strategy and training of the OPEX transformation for the manufacturing site. This role will provide leadership, guidance, coordination and functional direction to drive and sustain improvements in performance utilizing continuous improvement techniques, training and thinking for the site.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Builds the capability of the hourly OPEX change agents in their area(s) by providing work expectations, guidance, and direction to the change agents, and coach to address ongoing barriers to delivery.
  • Defines and coaches change agents in their efforts to provide education on training tools, processes, and techniques to manufacturing site personnel as needed.
  • Support loss control throughout the organization by reinforcing safety systems that demonstrate safety as a value.
  • Support OPEX initiatives that build process capability in all team members across the site.
  • Fully comply with site and corporate loss management policies.
  • Support and Champion safety in our manufacturing site by driving educational and behavioral processes to a world class level, through the application of OPEX thinking, processes and tools.
  • Ensure OPEX processes and tools are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage yourself in accordance with the One K-C Behaviors and values.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship.
  • Proven understanding of Lean thinking, systems and tools.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a CI/LEAN and/or OPEX environment.
  • The incumbent would typically have significant experience in several of the following: Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Lean Manufacturing, and Maintenance.
  • Incumbent would possess demonstrated ability to coach and mentor at all levels of the organization to influence and drive collaboration across teams and functions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a variety of mill and staff assignments is desired along with a familiarity with other related disciplines and business functions to enable a system-wide view.
  • Position requires knowledge and experience typically associated with a bachelor’s degree and 5 – 7 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-speed industrial manufacturing environment/plant experience.
