Job Description:
Do you enjoy solving ambiguous problems and driving results for your client group? The Senior Advisor, Product Owner is a business subject matter expert for a specific digital business system, system capability, process, or outcome. You will be responsible for defining a product’s capabilities and features based on product’s overall vision and customer experience. As a key member of a cross-functional team, you will use your business knowledge and product subject matter expertise to define goals and create a vision for development projects. You will be involved in developing the future state vision and product roadmap staying current in an evolving market.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prioritize needs and communicate with the end users of the product
- Product owners are responsible for communicating with stakeholders, including customers, business managers, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives
- Understand and anticipate trends for the product, competitive activities and opportunities in the marketplace
- Drive towards new efficient ways of working everyday
- Support daily/monthly/yearly financial settlements of points to sites via platform.
- Develop and evaluate clear processes and procedures
- Balance operational break fix requirements with enhancements and innovation opportunities daily
- Identify projects and opportunities to add value
- Anticipate customer needs and provide value-added stakeholder solutions
- Partner with Marketing to support the systematic deployment of promotions according to the established marketing calendar.
- Influence the outcome the future state for a specific system or application
- Work with a peer group of Product Owners to manage the entire loyalty digital product lifecycle
- Identify and proactively manage risk for managed project scope to appropriate levels of project and senior leadership for action or awareness
- Liaise with end users continuously to provide support and ensure the product roadmap meets expectations
- Be obsessed with customer experiences and drive continuous improvement to meet these needs
- Manage product budget to drive highest value for organization
Job Requirements:
- Post Secondary education in business or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Strong business acumen to translate how technology enables business value and related costs, benefits and risks
- Ability to prioritize and align future plans with S&M long-term strategic objectives
- Alignment with our values safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity
- Ability to communicate complex concepts with multiple stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to build support from others
- Advanced facilitating and negotiation skills with ability to lead integrated teams to value-add decisions
Qualification & Experience:
- Previous experience in development and deployment of IT technologies
- Previous experience in digital product management, agile execution, and user centric design
