Job Description:

The USWA COO team plays an integral role at the intersection of business strategy, client and product strategy and operational risk management for our US Wealth business. We are seeking a business management VP, based in NY, Princeton or Boston. This individual will have broad USWA COO business management responsibilities and will partner across the business to deliver on the firm’s growth plans. The VP will report to the USWA Deputy COO.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver department communication strategy
  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes (sales and expenses) and communication and collaboration with stakeholders in partnership with FP&A
  • Drive strategic projects in support of sales enablement and our technology and data roadmap
  • Organize strategic meeting series and presentations (i.e., QBR, Board, GEC, ExCos, offsites, etc.)
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and use core reporting tools to translate data into impactful business insights
  • Manage department footprint, headcount and pipeline plans in partnership with recruiting, hiring managers, and FP&A
  • Work with the broader strategy function and sales and product pillar leads to develop our business strategy, roadmap and constructs for execution
  • Seek out efficiencies within our business processes with an eye to mitigating risk

Job Requirements:

  • FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments, priorities, and situations
  • Hands-on approach and a passion for digging into business management issues with the curiosity of a journalist and the diligence of an auditor
  • A team-player mentality, positive attitude, and willingness to lend a hand where help is needed to advance the team’s ability to drive growth and operate effectively
  • A desire to build deep knowledge of BlackRock’s lines of business and provide recommendations that will help USWA deliver to our clients and stakeholders
  • A strong ability to translate data into narratives tailored for different audiences

Qualification & Experience:

  • Background in data analysis and statistical principles; some experience automating data collection and building data visualizations (i.e., R, Python, PowerBI PPT, Excel)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (i.e., operations, data analytics, strategy)
