Job Description:

Project Manager to work with the IT Business Partner Head & Business Product Owners to define the product & technical delivery and co-ordination. This is a key and critical role that is required to manage the Bank Point of Sale workstream; Global Platform workstream and API workstream and project that fall within the Business Banking area

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role requires the candidate to have strong project management and agile methodology experience.
  • Manage all phases of projects, including initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
  • Develop detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans in collaboration with all project stakeholders.
  • Document and keep track of all projects, administration of own projects is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes and systems development methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools required.
  • Manage project scope and risks. Investigate and make recommendations on issues that challenge scope boundaries.
  • Monitor and report on project progress highlighting critical issues for management, and, as necessary, coordinate the development, discussion, and approval of corrective action and/or contingency plans.
  • Manage stakeholder relations to ensure that project delivery expectations are specified and met.
  • Plan and implement change management processes, including activities such as training, communication, and documentation.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet/exceed the project sponsor’s specified expectations.
  • Ensure project activities and deliverables adhere to internal quality standards.
  • Provide clear direction and motivation to project team.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Run daily, weekly and monthly agile rituals efficiently and strictly (Grooming sessions; demos etc)
  • Track work progress to identify blockages and developer divergence from allocated tasks
  • Manages Business, Operational Staff and Product owners from interference with Development Structure
  • Police channels for submission of development work requests
  • Manages stories that do not contain the right level of detail from entering the Dev Structure

Qualification & Experience:

  • PMP, CAPM, Agile certification or equivalent
  • Project management or related degree required
  • CAPM; PMP: Scrum Master certification
    Experience
  • Min 5 years’ experience successfully managing projects of all sizes utilising effective project management methodologies (Agile & Waterfall) and associated processes, practices, and deliverables
  • 5 years’ experience successfully managing projects of all sizes utilising effective project management methodologies (Agile & Waterfall) and associated processes, practices, and deliverables
