Job Description:

As a Barclays Employee Communications Executive you will support effective relationships with members of the Chief Operating Office (COO) Executive Committee and their leadership team, and facilitate the execution of their communications strategies to achieve business and people objectives. You will be working collaboratively with other colleagues across Employee Communications to help create a highly effective team, whilst providing coherent, consistent and joined-up communications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Applying brand and communications guidelines to all communications
• Playing an active role in sharing best practice across Employee Communications, and actively taking part in workshops and team-wide activities that help build a culture of continuous improvement
• Supporting the design and implementation of a leadership communications plan, which includes engagement with the relevant audience
• Building a compelling narrative – articulating the priorities and the value for customers, clients, colleagues and the bank by understanding the business strategy and priorities
• Measuring the effectiveness of communications using available channels and tools, and recommending subsequent improvements
• Supporting the planning and end-to-end delivery of timely, targeted, creative and effective communications that clearly articulate the objectives of the business

Job Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise on a daily basis, with excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to work at pace and to tight deadlines
• Employee communications experience with excellent writing skills, and ability to deliver complex messages in a clear and compelling way across a variety of channels
• Previous experience in communications within financial or professional services, with a solid track record of delivering to the highest standards and with a good attention to detail
• Ability to use measurement and insights to inform planning on an iterative basis, using data and learnings to evolve communication effectiveness
