Working with our tailings planners, you will provide input to the short range tailings plan and ensure risks are communicated for inclusion on cross functional team (CFT) risk registers and roadmaps. Risk identification, analysis and superior communication will be paramount.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the two weeks tailings plans align with the short-range plan (0-3-month operations)
  • Support site execution during cell pours and incorporate feedback into future designs
  • Maintain spreadsheets and collect data for weekly & monthly reporting
  • Ensure system capacities are adequately represented in the tailings plan
  • Utilize MineScape CAD software to create designs and implement them for field execution
  • Collaborate with the tailings short range planners to produce the two weeks tailings plans
  • Become a point of contact for tailings and civil projects supporting construction & development of the tailings dykes-structures

Job Requirements:

  • Been registered, or are eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
  • A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace
  • Related experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
  • An undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering
