Job Description:

Funkypigeon.com is looking for a creative Frontend Developer to add to its dynamic team in Bristol. It’s a great time to join, our tech roadmap features some ambitious and exciting new features and enhancements. You’ll lead the changes on our website which has an increasing product catalogue alongside it’s core greetings card offering. You’ll also take ownership of customer experience through website optimisation, working collaboratively with the CRO (conversion rate optimisation) team, UX designers and analysts to improve business KIPs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Innovate and assist the adoption of new technologies/frameworks
• Refine projects/decision making using market leading UX analysis platforms
• Maintain code quality and implement best practices with a focus on optimising website performance
• Develop both simple and complex test campaigns to optimise performance
• Liaise with back end coders to design end to end tech solutions
• Develop new website functionality to support the business transformation roadmap as well as deliver continuous improvement features
• Work collaboratively with UX team turning visuals into new features
• Utilise data analytics to measure impact on user journeys

Job Requirements:

• Ideally experience of S.O.L.I.D and test driven development desirable
• Experience of SPA
• Excellent understanding of ecommerce
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
• Proven experience as a front end developer with a passion to deliver the best customer digital experience by creating quality solutions
• Eye for detail enabling quality delivery of visual elements
• A true ‘problem solver’ mentality with a constant focus on the customer experience
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write clean, well-formatted code
• Basic experience in using CRO software platforms such as Optimisely, Maxymiser, Qbit (advantageous)
• Javascript, HTML, CSS, Typescript (advantageous), Basic React (advantageous)
• Good team player and willingness to collaborate and help develop peers
