Job Description:

Victoria’s Secret Beauty is looking for a Toxicologist to join the team! This role is accountable for managing all aspects of safety science within assigned beauty product categories and/or brands. The toxicologist will be responsible for the overall safety assessments from raw material to finished product following a brand-centric model. This associate will be the key subject matter expert for the assigned areas of toxicology as well as having thorough knowledge of safety requirements for specific countries assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety assessments for raw ingredients and formulations. Provide evaluation of conclusions and potential impact of study results on project milestones/strategy
• Spokesperson on all raw material and finished product safety items within the brand or categories assigned at broader global level
• Responsible for communicating directly with external consultants when challenges or different formulation/raw materials are encountered
• Accountable for conducting final review of product safety assessments and sign-off after thorough review
• Continue to optimize executional processes and drive better alignment with cross functional partners for better effectiveness and efficiency
• Support product senior manager on specific requests from assigned regions
• Attend commercialization meetings that support execution
• Represent Victoria’s Secret in industry consortium or task forces to ensure that VS has up-to-date information/intelligence of the latest development related to product safety and science

Job Requirements:

• DABT or ERT preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills; ability to flex communication style to different audiences
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple competing and changing priorities
• Knowledgeable about global cosmetic regulations and safety positions
• Ph.D. or M.S. in Toxicology, Pharmacology or related majors with 3+ years’ experience in personal care/cosmetics or related industry
• Acute attention to detail and accuracy of work
