Suncor Jobs – Finance and Planning Lead

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of key business processes such as long-range planning, budgeting and stewardship reporting and analysis for the refinery
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the refinery leadership team and internal finance teams
• Coordinate with central finance teams to deliver insights to key stakeholders
• Highlight trends relating to key drivers of cost and capital expenditures
• Translate operational performance into financial outcomes
• Assists with the development of targets that support the integrated planning process
• Act as financial performance advisor by supporting the development of strong financial acumen in the business
• Provide fit for purpose performance reporting, and support the business in crystalizing key messages

Job Requirements:

• Strong communication skills that enable you to communicate business results concisely to various levels of the organization
• A continuous improvement mindset with an aptitude to drive change amongst direct reports & stakeholders
• The ability to collaborate effectively with finance and business stakeholders to drive business performance and manage risk
• The ability to grasp key commercial considerations that may impact operations, financial results or which present a potential risk to the business
• Demonstrated knowledge of the oil and gas industry
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with SAP and the Microsoft Suite of tools and exposure to automation

• A recognized accounting designation (CPA, CFA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent designation
