Job Description:
Do you enjoy mentoring others, developing initiatives and leading process operating activities? If yes, we have the role for you! Reporting to the Manager Operations – Sulphur, you will support safe, stable, efficient and reliable production and provide expert troubleshooting and mitigating advice; including all aspects of front line personnel management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, scheduling and execution of all scheduled maintenance activities on area assets, ensuring this work is consistent with applicable standards and performed in a safe, environmentally acceptable and efficient manner
- Conduct field level risk assessments assuring our risk protocols are followed and all permitting, hazardous energy isolation and risk mitigation processes are thoroughly conducted
- Lead troubleshooting initiatives and engage appropriate cross-functional resources to analyze and correct operational and equipment problems
- Ensure that our assets are operated within defined process safety, regulatory, and reliability operating envelopes
- Maintain a visible presence in the field to cultivate employee engagement, communications and assess work process effectiveness
- Coordinate execution and documentation of periodic testing of unit safety systems
Job Requirements:
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
- Alignment with our values safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity
- Your 2nd Class Power Engineer’s certification; or your 3rd Class certification with demonstrated progress towards 2nd Class certification
- Five years of direct supervisory and/or leadership experience
- Five years of field operations or related experience in upgrading, refining or oil & gas
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
