Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for procurement activities to fulfill the materials and services requirements of our organization. You will examine and support the fulfillment of business unit needs in accordance with our supply chain management (SCM) operational model.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fulfil the purchasing needs of business units for operational related materials and services, bids and negotiating prices, finalize Terms and
- Conditions as required.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Complete acquisition processes, including request for proposal, bid evaluation, award and order expediting.
- Manage Inventory activities including Spare Parts Lists request management; setting up new parts in the inventory system; Making recommendations for inventory, Ordering items and make decisions on quantities to carry.
- Ensure all procurement activities are aligned with supply chain management, the business unit strategy and the procurement plan
Job Requirements:

- Can work well independently and in a team environment

- Current enrolment in a formal co-op or internship program in 2nd or 3rd year Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Commerce at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to fulltime studies after the work term (attach your transcripts with your application)
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in the oil sands industry
