Job Description:

Lead engineers to deliver products and services that comply with Company policies and procedures and federal regulations. Ensure engineering documents have proper technical justification. Drive technological innovation and fleet-wide reliability improvement initiatives. Keep abreast of new technologies and industry technical developments and fleet improvement recommendations from Airbus and component OEM’s. Drive the highest level of aircraft, engine and component safety, regulatory compliance and reliability. Lead the required aircraft component / system hardware and software configurations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead all regulatory compliance and related industry documents (SB/TFU/AOT/SIL etc…) and report findings. Review of in service A/C operational performance.
  • Determin Modification embodiment
  • Lead Senior Leadership Team Projects
  • Approve engineering documents
  • Lead implementation of approved projects.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments.)
  • Assign projects to staff
  • Co-ordinate with Spirit departments, OEM, repair stations and other entities as necessary to maintain, update and improve A/C, engine, component and equipment/system hardware and software standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Superior communications skills in written and verbal communications.
  • Strong knowledge of onboard A/C software requirements, operation and installation.
  • Strong understanding of Cabin Interior Arrangements (LOPA) and Interior Cabin Standards.
  • Superior capabilities in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, schematics and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project, OneNote, Publisher, etc.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of aircraft electrical, avionics and mechanical systems.

Qualification & Experience:

  • One year aviation management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • BS Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university or four years of aviation related experience two of which would be in the field of engineering.
