Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned task observations and coaching
• Implement and monitor maintenance of equipment’s to the required maintenance strategies
• Monitor the equipment performance (trend analysis and rectify deviations)
• Recommend re-design of systems to improve the maintenance strategy and safety of the business
• Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of resources
• Conduct incidents and accidents investigations
• Ensuring that all employees are competent and trained to do work safely
• Implement PM strategy requirements
• Monitor the implementation of and adherence to operating and maintenance procedures
• Lead risk assessments and implement necessary recommendations
• Implement and manage projects for continuous improvement
• Ensure elimination of all safety hazards

Job Requirements:

• Be familiar with the mining industry
• Have Valid N3 Engineering certificate
• Be analytical with attention to detail
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater
• Occupational Health Centre
• Have excellent report writing skills
• Possess knowledge of governance framework formulation and maintenance at a corporate level
• Have valid Mechanical trade certificate
• Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Artisan within the specific work environment Shaft
• Have In depth knowledge of Company governance and corporate management
• Have valid Foreman certificate
• Have detailed knowledge of applicable legislation (in particular the Companies Act)
• Have valid NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate)
