RSPCA Jobs in London – Rehoming Coordinator

Job Description:

Our staff can provide talks to schools and other organisations as well as advice on domestic pet-related topics and information on other animal welfare related matters.

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaising with local RSPCA branches and establishments regarding the transport and intake of animals and their care and health
• Transportation of animals
• Attending to the needs of individual animals, including feeding, exercise, coat care/grooming and administering treatments as directed
• Providing professional and courteous customer service ensuring all queries are appropriately resolved
• Liaising with RSPCA and Pets at Home colleagues to plan and run fundraising and community engagement events in store
• Assisting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers and fosterers

Job Requirements:

• Professional experience of animal care work, in particular cats
• Confidence and experience in assessing behaviour of animals in rescue
• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literacy, and basic admin skills
• A familiarity with animal health and welfare issues
• A full and valid UK driving licence
• Confident driving in and around London and used to driving a van
• Flexibility to work variable shifts
