Job Description:
Our Talent Team is looking for an insightful and analytically-minded Junior Supply Chain Analyst with great interpersonal skills to join our Supply Chain Strategy and Optimisation team at Vector Logistics – based at Westville Head Office, Durban.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position reports to the Supply Chain Solutions Architect and will be responsible for supporting the provision of complex, in-depth Supply Chain solutions to existing and prospective customers (Internal and External), applying Supply Chain knowledge to real business requirements in order to ensure a cost-effective, executable solution is provided that satisfies customer requirements and adds the required value.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations using data and graphics to communicate insights and implications for Supply Chain decision making.
- Under the direction of the Supply Chain Solutions Architect, work closely with cross-functional teams from Customer-, Commercial-, Operations-, Planning- and IT departments to deliver innovative Supply Chain solutions and a superior customer experience.
- Provide support, analysis and insight regarding network-, warehouse- and transport optimization and solution design.
Job Requirements:
- Transport-, network- and/or warehouse modeling experience is an advantage
Qualification & Experience:
- Industrial & Systems Engineering Degree (University Level)
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years working experience in a Supply Chain environment
