Job Description:

Within Business Management & Control the incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Control manager with assessment, development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of operational risk controls including risk indicator metrics across the European and APAC operations group.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure risks are proactively identified, measured, monitored, reported, escalated, and captured appropriately in MI.
• Complete reviews of applicable standing orders across European and APAC BCS, assessing compliance and report the finding to the BCS Management Team. Additionally, ensure there is appropriate oversight of all new and amendments to the Standing Order and cascade as appropriate.
• Assist the Risk and control governance manager with risk and controls oversight and continual enhancement and improvement of the risk and control reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Assist the Control Manager in partnering with Compliance, Operations Engineering, and BCS Management to assist in reviewing and implementing specific regulatory or market changes across the relevant departments considering internal policy, processes, and operational risks.
• Support the continuous enhancement of operational risk management approaches, aiming to develop, implement and continuously enhance operational risk management practices and metrics reported
• Assist the Control Manager in proactively reviewing the control framework for European and APAC BCS, including processes, procedures, controls, and reports.

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Capital Markets products/business processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and balance a diverse set of priorities.
• Ability to analyse and present data in a structured manner.
• Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
• Previous experience in a CM BCS/Operations role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of CM BCS structure, roles, and procedures across all asset classes.
• Good time management skills
• Strong relationship-building and team-building skills with a collaborative and proactive/change mindset
