Job Description:
To manage and control the activities of the Building Maintenance Section and to ensure the rendering of effective and efficient service by this section with regards Buildings, Electrical, Mechanical and Maintenance repairs, cleaning service as well as furniture services, access, sanitizing and CCTV in accordance with the standard as set out by Rand Water. To ensure full compliance with the OHS Act in respect of the Rand Water Head Office premises and Hostels. This requires a self-motivated, disciplined person with an eye for detail, to support the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Client service orientation
- Good Project Management skills
- Good business acumen and thorough knowledge of contractors and good practices
- Extensive knowledge and experience of electrical reticulation of a large modern building
- Ability to comply and control suitable working budgets for building maintenance and associated matters.
- Managing the Electrical air conditioning system controls and or Building Management system
- Thorough working knowledge of a large central air conditioning plant
- Good design knowledge of furniture, layouts and space design
- Thorough working knowledge of a large central air conditioning plant
- Responsible for management of day and night shift teams
- Understanding and good interpersonal skills, good negotiator
- Thorough knowledge of the OHS Act to ensure a safe working environment
- Thorough working knowledge of electronic maintenance system (MAXIMO)
Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:
- Fire Appliance Course
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field
- Asset Maintenance and Facility Management course.
- Electrical Operative level 3 or equivalent
- Active Supervisory Development Programmer
- Safety Health and Environmental Representative course
- Risk Awareness,
- Code 8/EB drivers licence
- Factotum Course
- Grade 12
