Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Present findings and recommendations to senior management with practical recommendations to improve internal controls
• Prepare draft audit reports and participate in the development of final audit reports. Discuss preliminary audit findings with management directly responsible for resolution, and present final audit results to management ultimately responsible for the area under review
• Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Review, evaluate, and document internal control systems and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and QF policies. Prepare concise and well-organized working papers that accurately reflect the results of audit tests performed. Review the work of junior and staff auditors
• Manage and conduct audit assurance and / or consulting projects as Auditor-in-Charge in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Auditing (“the Standards”) of the Institute of Internal Auditors within established time budgets and deadlines. Evaluate the adequacy of controls and recommend innovative and practical solutions to remediate unsatisfactory conditions, improve operations and reduce costs
• Carry out special projects and investigations, as assigned.
• Coach and mentor other members of the audit project team, as appropriate
• Plan and conduct financial and related operational reviews under limited supervision. Identify internal control risks, business risks, and operational cost reduction opportunities
• Track and follow up on action plans developed to address internal audit findings

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

• 6-8 years of progressively more responsible operational or financial internal audit work experience, as well as risk-based auditing and risk control activities, preferably within a large and diverse organization
• Qualification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is highly desirable
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or other relevant field; Master’s preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
