Job Description:
The Technical Trainer coordinates and teaches operational and technical management courses to Publix associates and managers at all levels including retail, distribution, manufacturing and corporate associates. This includes planning and coordinating all aspects of a training course, and preparing personalized content and teacher notes for each course. The Technical Trainer reports to the Manager of Training Delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- facilitating non-training HR meetings and sessions, including administering and proctoring test sessions
- conducting a physical inventory and maintaining training materials and equipment each quarter
Job Requirements:
- excellent planning & coordinating skills
- ability to display resourcefulness & flexibility
- fluent in English and Spanish
- Driver’s License with favorable driving record
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field or equivalent experience
- at least one year of experience in classroom training, military training, student internship, or equivalent experience
- strong time management and organizational skills
- intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- classroom teaching skills
- ability to perform under pressure
