Publix Jobs – Electrical Construction Supervisor

Job Description:

The Electrical Construction Supervisor manages electrical inspections and the supervision of electrical system installations for new construction, remodels and special projects. The incumbent inspects work provided by contractors, subcontractors, Publix vendors, and Publix Associates to ensure work is completed according to Publix specifications and plans.

Job Responsibilities:

• reviews electrical RFI’s (request for information), new store and remodel plans and revisions
• actively participates on selected CQI teams, meetings and training efforts
• attends continuous development trainings and maintains professional licensing certification(s)
• communicates and coordinating the installation of all Publix approved revisions
• evaluates electrical contractors for future projects.
• coordinates delivery of Publix supplied equipment

Job Requirements:

• mathematical skills
• analytical skills and technical skills
• at least five (5) years commercial electrical construction experience
• Journeyman Electrical license and maintenance/completion of continuing education requirements for active status
• knowledge of retail operations and customer needs
• knowledge of material and methods used in electrical wiring and equipment installations
• High School Diploma or its equivalent experience
• knowledge of plans and specifications
• knowledge of the fundamental principles of electricity
• expanded knowledge of the National Electrical Code and associated rules, regulations, ordinances and standards
