Job Description:

This middle management role forms the integral link between Old Mutual and key Small Medium Enterprises (SME) internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for promoting Old Mutual SME products and brands to defined target markets. You will develop and implement distribution strategies and account plans. This role will report to the SME Distribution Head.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with CVP team to define client acquisition strategy based on data analytics of existing Top 20 clients
• Understand key distribution partners strategic objectives and together with Distribution Lead and Senior Sales Management
• Provide operations support to SME Distribution lead and assist with the execution of the distribution strategy
• Active involvement in all project meetings
• Proactively identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
• Proactively identify gaps and remediation of the gaps in meeting targets
• Engage with other teams, e.g. Marketing to manage lead generation activations, flows and risks
• Provide support on making improving SME sales pipeline of existing solutions within corporate
• Engage rest of OML distribution value chain to enable SME strategy
• Tracking sales performance against defined targets
• Develops and finds new business opportunities to grow Old Mutual Corporate’s market share.
• Collaborate with other areas on referral schemes, commission and remuneration planning
• Support the roll-out of any products and solutions pilots

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently

• 3-5 years’ experience in sales and distribution in financial services industry required
• Analytical ability

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification required (diploma or degree)
• An RE5 qualification advantageous
