Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity to join the Public Affairs team of Nestlé UK & Ireland, the world’s largest food and drink manufacturer. Nestle UK&I is at the forefront of a number of major policy issues, and we are looking for a Senior Public Affairs Manager to devise and lead a public affairs strategy for Nestlé UK&I relating to industrial strategy, trade & investment, productivity and skills, which ensures that Nestlé UK&I and the sector is represented in Government policy on these core agendas. Job Responsibilities: Active engagement with key political, Government, industry and NGO stakeholders across the UK & Ireland, including specific policy areas relevant to the devolved nations. Represent Nestlé UK&I at relevant working groups of trade associations, in particular the Food and Drink Federation, and of the Food and Drink Sector Council Cross functional working with other key functions and categories within the business to manage responses into Government on core policy areas Helping the business to navigate and understand implications of post EU-Exit trade policy, working closely with colleagues in Brussels Working closely with and managing external consultancies to support the business Ensure the business is kept updated with the latest developments, oversee the issues management committee; and make business aware of how future policy trends may impact it. Ensuring internal policies and guidelines are being adhered to/complied with, for example internal marketing approvals on behalf of Public Affairs Working with media and internal communications teams to help inform their work from a public affairs perspective Job Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop and manage complex and high-impact projects with varying and shifting priorities, with superior organisational skills and attention to detail Understanding of external influencers & the policy environment. Experience of engaging with external stakeholders and influencers. Ability to work across a wide range of areas and issues.
