We’re on the hunt for an experienced Procurement professional to join the team based in our Head Office in York, you will be responsible for the Estates & Property category. We’re looking for someone who is able to act as subject matter expert, providing commercial advice and support to our internal teams. This is a multi-faceted role, negotiating and awarding contracts, ensuring you protect LNER from risk and delivering value for money, quality, and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Required to undertake a collaborative approach to procurement and commissioning with other public sector organizations and to support the LNER’s Responsible Business Strategy.
• Ensuring all contracts meet customer specifications, safety legislation, quality, EU Procurement legislation (UCR); DFT committed obligations and franchise commitments.
• Developing and implementing contract management strategies for internal customers
• Working cross functionally to ensure contracts deliver successfully against contractually agreed targets, SLA and KPI’s.
  Driving continuous improvement through the supply chain.
• Completing ongoing analysis of the supply chain including emerging market
• Required to operate strategic contract management processes to build compliance with existing contracts and exploring alternative service delivery models

Job Requirements:

• Development and implementation of Procurement strategies
• Broad experience of buying goods and services and dealing within timescales
• An understanding of regulatory frameworks
• Working cross functionally in a collaborative environment
• Experience of working with EU Procurement Directives
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Experience dealing with different commercial contracts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate and manipulate data
