Job Description:

Working as a key part of the people team, with a specific focus on the JD Marketing department providing strategic leadership across Talent Management, Acquisition, and Development. The successful candidate will ensure marketing has a distinct competitive advantage in attracting, developing, and retaining talent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a retention strategy on an annual basis to ensure Marketing retains its talent taking account of the external marketplace.
  • Partnering with the group L&D function to develop bespoke talent development programmes and interventions at each level
  • Develop and deliver career pathways, linked to all levels and integrate with internal L&D initiatives in addition to externally recognised qualification bodies.
  • Partnering with the Early Careers and Apprenticeships Manager in the implementation of graduate schemes and apprenticeship pathways within Marketing.
  • Manage the headcount budget and talent acquisition plan for Marketing, working with the talent acquisition team to fulfill role requirements.
  • Develop and use appropriate metrics to provide analysis and insight across Marketing talent, identifying areas of strength/development and proposing organisational design strategies to address.
  • Work with the Group Head of Talent, Talent Lead, Talent BP’s and Group HR Director to design and deliver Marketing Senior Leadership Team development intervention
  • Develop and present talent and succession planning materials for regular talent reviews with the Marketing leadership team
  • Use the group talent identification and mapping processes to assess and track Marketing talent.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate the commercial value of talent mgt interventions and programmes
  • Preferred: CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified; ideally within a talent/OD pathway
  • Network within digital/ marketing sector
  • A track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships
  • Knowledge of talent management theory and practice
  • Commercially aware, strategic thinker
  • An excellent external network & knowledge of good external practices in other leading organisations which is kept up to date

Qualification & Experience:

  • Talent Partnering/ Recruitment experience
  • Proven experience working in talent strategy and management area, preferably within a digital environment
