Job Description:

This position is located in Refugee, Asylum and International Operations, Miami, Asylum Office. As an Mission Support Specialist you will coordinate and perform a wide variety of administrative and management services essential to the operations of the office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gather, organize and perform analysis of data from a variety of sources to identify trends and patterns;
• Coordinate and monitor a variety of human resources and administrative projects and activities
• The responsibilities described are for the {{GS-XX/full performance}} level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
• Collaborate with internal and external organizations in the implementation of assigned tasks;
• Research and analyze applicable rules, regulations, policies and guidance surrounding administrative programs;
• Advise management on regulations surrounding essential mission support functions (e.g., budget, human resources management, benefits, performance).

Job Requirements:

• Experience in providing assistance to management in the evaluation and analysis of administrative programs (e.g. workflow, office procedures) to identify efficiencies in program operation;
• Experience in carrying out specified portions or segments of specific projects (e.g. new employee processing, travel documents processing, data collections and analysis);
• You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply for this position
• Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure
• Experience in maintaining a portion of an organization’s budget and procuring goods and services
• You must pass a drug screening
• Experience in identifying and recommending solutions to administrative problems, and providing advice to staff;
