Job Description:
The Senior Software Engineer – API, will work as part of a team to design, develop, and manage digital API for Hilton mobile and web channels. This position will be expected to work within an agile framework, and collaborate with the creative team, technical team, and product leads on targeted features and functions required allowing Hilton to maintain its position as a leader in hospitality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish solid partnerships within the IT organization to ensure multi-functional alignment, to ensure a clear understanding of feature requests
- Provide support to the team leads in the creation of diagrams, workflows, and any other artifacts necessary to convey the intended design for new, more complex features
- Help fill gaps throughout the development cycle to ensure we meet delivery expectations
- Collaborate with the Core+ team, Platform Engineers, Distribution services team, Platform Architecture team, and product leads on targeted features and functions, offering technical guidance to help define requirements and implement solutions that meet business goals
- Develop and deliver back-end assets for Hilton’s mobile and web channels, including the following tasks: business rules changes in the graph,
- Couchbase data, and index changes, writing unit tests, bug fixes, build plans, understanding/communicating downstream service dependencies, and other support functions within the technical stack as needed
- Follow the defined agile methodology delivering industry-leading solutions with best-in-class quality and performance
- Lead and mentor new team members on the technology stack

Qualification & Experience:
- CMS integration experience
- Four (4) years working collaboratively with other team members
- Experience supporting sites on different browsers, operating systems, and devices
- Experience mentoring other technical team members
- One (1) year of experience working with Graph.js and Node.js
- Four (4) years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
