Job Description:

As a Senior Quality Engineer, your job is to join in that mission, with a team of other tenacious engineers, to serve as a thought leader and innovator regarding large-scale testing impacts to ensure world-class performance and quality of our systems and solutions. Your goal is to operate independently to engineer automated testing solutions, leveraging appropriate technologies and frameworks, and minimize human interactions with the system to enable rapid delivery of solutions with the highest levels of quality. Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and continuously improve the over-arching testing infrastructure for our high-performance systems, including Partner facing applications, customer facing sites and mobile applications.
• Engage in and define our overall testing coverage strategies, for multiple teams and applications, using consistent automated testing practices.
• Develop automation framework(s) for microservices, APIs, REST and UI following guidelines, best practices, coding standards.
• Complete code reviews to provide feedback and ensure alignment with coding standards, approaches and defined best practices.
• Engage in and support the build and deployment pipeline for multiple environments, diagnosing and solving production support issues when needed.
• Engage in and improve the software delivery lifecycle by evangelizing a test-driven approach to software engineering and incorporating automated test suite(s) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate new and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition and determine if they could be incorporated into the team’s architecture.
• Drive testing design and automation of complex features across multiple systems that improve our customers’ and Partners’ user experience.
• Coach and mentor junior Quality Engineers in software testing techniques, processes and new technologies; enabling others to succeed.

Job Requirements:

• Identify ambiguous requirements, providing clarity when needed.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation using various languages (like Java, Spring, JavaScript or Python).
• Ability to communicate technical information and details effectively at all levels and understand customer systems.
• Demonstrate an understanding of architectural technologies, such as Android, iOS, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, etc. and are open to learning.
• Solid understanding of the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
• You have an ownership mentality and consistent track record of successful, high-quality results.
• Demonstrate a proficiency with technologies such as Selenium, TestNG, Mocha, etc. and enjoy learning new ones as they emerge.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and intrinsic motivation to get things accomplished well.
• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Engineering or Computer Science, or relevant work experience.
• Ability to debug, instrument, and optimize automation code, describe system performance characteristics and automate tasks to reduce toil.
