Job Description:
Proper control and care of instruments /practicing infection control measures. Wash instruments, packs to be properly packed according to protocol and autoclaved.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mops washed and autoclaved to be prevent transmission of germs from one to another. Check and re-sterilize all expired packs. Sterile packs to be available all the time. Issuing of sterile stock to the wards. Procedure for receiving packs from the wards to be followed. Handling and control of linen, receive clean linen and pack in shelves. Linen shortage to be reported to the in-charge. Torn linen to be placed in the bag marked “torn”.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to read and write. Good Interpersonal relations. Communication skills. Must be able to work shifts.
Qualification & Experience:
- Grade 10 or ABET level 4 or equivalent. Two years experience in a hospital environment.
