Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• To maintain a Supply base in order to acquire merchandise that will enhance profitability and ensure Sourcing excellence both Local and abroad.
• Monitor performance and capabilities of suppliers and ensure that that effective remedial plans are implemented to address any non-conformances.
• Evaluate Supplier rankings and performance so that appropriate actions/decisions are taken on whether to utilise suppliers for the next buying season. Update vendor matrix.
• Support supplier compliance with established quality, conformance and TFG company requirements
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with all aspects to the Value Chain so that all elements relating to quality, quantity, styling and delivery requirements are clearly understood and carried out in accordance with business needs.
• Facilitate pre-season tender costings for Key volume items.
• Prepare and present Supplier post seasonal analysis covering Supplier sales, delivery and quality performance.
• Understand core needs of the merchandise fraternity by partnering with them during reviews, laydowns and other key projects. This will help areas of continuous improvement.
• Analyse and evaluate information when sourcing and negotiating with Suppliers to establish and verify the reliability of Suppliers for quality and price prior to buying.
• Identify milestone measurements for follow up in the manufacturing and supply chain critical path.
  Record and store data for research findings and comparative analysis for future buying decisions.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to acquire and understand a functional knowledge of company relevant products with the end use of the purpose of the sourcing commodities
• Proven merchandising & sourcing skills and understanding of the product creation process
• 5 – 8 years’ experience in a similar role/Garment or Textile product knowledge
• Qualification in Clothing Management / Retail / Fashion Design or equivalent
• Ability to multi task within the quality department when required.
• Excellent Negotiation skills and critical analytical thinking.
• High level persuading and influencing skills
• Multi-level Relationship management
• Strong Organization and Communication skills, both verbally and written
• Supply Chain & Manufacturing Experience
