Job Description: Lead and manage the finance portfolio for the Business Unit, ensuring professional and ethical financial standards, practices and governance, and a cohesive finance service offering that is aligned to the Business Unit and Segment strategies. Determine and direct financial strategy for the Business Unit in partnership with the CEO and Exco. Serve as an active member of the senior-management team, prepare financial reports and budgets for the executive to support the financial decision making process, and ensure that financial transactions, policies and procedures meet business short and long term objectives and regulatory body requirements Job Responsibilities: Develop and nurture internal relationships within FNB enabling collaboration Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training and development where appropriate Manage people by executing line manager responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance delivery Practice sound and ethical financial management through the technical application of financial, accounting and business knowledge Engage and communicate effectively with relevant colleagues, regulators, auditors and other stakeholders Effectively partner with the business and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the business Develop financial strategies and supporting frameworks and execute defined strategies by translating them into financial operations Monitor and enforce effective control, governance and compliance procedures to prevent and reduce financial losses Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances Provide stewardship of the overall business portfolio ensuring business integrity, financial health and control Lead projects, overall performance and strategic direction of the relevant area/function Demonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour, through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organisational values Job Requirements: Experience - 5 – 8 years working experience post qualification of which 2 - 3 years ideally at management level Minimum Qualification - Chartered Accountant In accordance with National Credit Act (NCA) candidates applying for this role will require a credit record check.
