Job Description:

This position is being announced under FEMA’s Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program. This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Veterans Preference does not apply to the CORE selection process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing and securing program review authorities’ approval for program plans, schedules, and resource requirements to adequately support the desired level of operations for assigned programs and to meet all established technical and management objectives that are mandated.
• Providing advice and recommendations made by the incumbent form the basis for decision making by senior officials concerning long-term major programs which involve the participation of an extensive community of complex, multi-mission agency components.
• Programming, reprogramming, and efficient and effective use of funding, or other resources, which is appropriate to support major, substantive requirements.

Job Requirements:

• You must successfully pass a background investigation.
• You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
• Travel will be required.
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
• Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
