Job Description:

A vacancy exists for an Accountant, at Head Office, reporting to the Regional Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial transactions and internal controls in line with accounting standards and corporate governance protocols in support of Life Healthcare objectives and strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Effective people management
• Collation & provision of monthly financial reporting in a timely manner to support Life Health Solution business
• Demonstrate visible leadership in respect of Life values, operating model and strategy.
• Actively sponsor Life initiatives and projects as it relates to the business.
• Implementation of financial principles across all commercial and client requirements
• Responsibility for day to day and monthly financial management.
• Proactive & monthly management of Head Office debtor management under support of Life Health Care central offices
• Actively participate in Head Office meetings
• Actively lead and manage Regional Financial Controller feedback meetings and ensure participation from all parties to achieve
  strategic objectives
• Supporting and providing financial insights and feedback to assist the Regional Financial Controller, Effectively managing in a sustainable & profitable way

Qualification & Experience:

• Driver’s license
• Ability to learn industry specifics i.e. related healthcare terminology.
• B.Com degree, with 3-5 years’ experience (preferably in a corporate service environment). Accounting and supervisory experience in the healthcare industry would be advantageous but not a requirement.
• Computer proficiency
