DSV Jobs – Freight Forwarder (Air & Sea)

Job Description:

Arranging collection and planning deliveries of import cargo whilst keeping customers updated.

Job Responsibilities:

• Customer site visits if required
• Processing bookings with carriers
• Sending document packs
• Arranging customs clearance as well as release from other government organisations where required
• Delivery planning and status report updates (tracking)
• Arrange Collection of shipments locally or with overseas office / agent
• Registration of files; completing specific milestones and capturing of charges in CW1 (operating system)
• Following up on carrier ANFS, Bills of lading issued as well as invoices
• Ensure file closure procedure is followed
• Checking vendor invoices and raising queries as required.
• Work overtime as per operational requirements (week days & weekends)
• Processing of invoices
• Communication with both customer and 3d parties
• Tracking of shipments

Job Requirements:

• Good communication skills
• Previous experience in CargoWise1
• 5 Years’ experience as a freight forwarding controller
• Knowledge of current INCOTERMS® 2010
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Experience in road freight operations an added advantage
• Knowledge of international logistics
