Job Description:
To oversee all operational processes within the receiving department and to communicate with other departments where necessary. To assume overall responsibility for SHEQ within the receiving department. Coordinate with other departments on issues that require logistics input. Responsible for maintaining financial control within the receiving department (e.g. overtime, packaging etc.).
Job Responsibilities:
- Minimum qualification – Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain (NQF Level 6)
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Healthcare distribution
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management with direct reports
- Sound understanding of principles relating to Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory & Financial Control
- Experience in Industrial Relations
- In-depth knowledge & understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Job Requirements:
- Coordination with different warehouse departments
- Managing & assuming overall responsibility of all receiving processes, i.e. from vehicle offload to stock putaway
- Managing & assuming overall responsibility of all receiving MHE
- Managing & assuming overall responsibility of all receiving infrastructure
- Managing & assuming overall responsibility of all receiving personnel
- Ensure all SHEQ policies & procedures are adhered to.
