Job Description:

The Process Optimization Engineer is a key operational support role responsible for driving process improvements. The role develops and applies statistical models for production equipment and manufacturing processes across the Glad Business Unit. This position will champion manufacturing equipment and operational improvements that deliver cost savings, capacity, and enable long term growth. The impact of changes in product design, manufacturing processes, and business strategies will be evaluated to provide data based options to business leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and champion process improvements across Glad manufacturing locations
• Evaluate impact of product/equipment/business changes and strategy
• Formulate and communicate data based options to leadership
• Work with staff on our proprietary blown film extrusion process
• Assess and model packaging equipment for process improvements
• Review data to improve the Glad bag making process
• Create models for manufacturing processes

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Physics, industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related scientific discipline
• Master’s degree from an accredited University in Physics, industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related scientific discipline
• 7-10 years of experience utilizing statistical data analysis for process modeling and reliability improvement efforts in a high volume consumer products company, automotive, aerospace, defense, pharmaceutical or medical device field
• Proficiency completing advanced statistical data analytics using tools like JMP, Minitab, etc…
• Strong algorithm development skills: Python, MatLab, Extend Sim, Plant Sim, Pro model
• Experience with reliability analysis, loss analysis, time between failure, time to repair, and loss reduction simulation
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
• 5 years of experience utilizing statistical data analysis for process modeling and reliability improvement
• Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
