Job Responsibilities: You will use the lessons learned from these cases to apply the principles to high complexity/ high opportunity cases outside the HRWP. Using a range of tools and techniques to promote voluntary compliance along with preventing and responding to non-compliance. Leading and coordinating some of the highest profile cases within Wealthy . Developing a deep understanding of the tax affairs of Wealthy customers, utilising your tax professional knowledge to identify risks. Reporting to the Assistant Director National Operations (AD) you will be encouraged to take an active leadership role as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Researching complex issues on these cases to progress them to resolution at pace, you and your team will work with specialists across HMRC to achieve this. Building capability for your team working closely with the learning and professionalism unit to ensure the team has the technical capability to ensure success. Job Requirements: Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, CAI, ACCA) qualification or Have a proven understanding across all main areas of Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax, including anti-avoidance provisions. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills. Successfully completed the HMRC Tax Specialist Programme, or one of its predecessors (TPDP, IDP, ITS2, CPT, FT2) or Be a qualified solicitor with post qualification experience in income or capital gains tax Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver to tight timelines with minimal direction. Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification, or Excellent evidence-based decision-making skills and confidence in owning and communicating those decisions.
