Job Responsibilities:

• Auditing of patient care
• Infection prevention and control programme coordination
• Ensuring safe, quality patient care
• Actively participates in visible leadership
• Policies and procedures development and implementation
• Directing Link Nurse programme
• Drives quality improvement, implement quality improvement strategies
• Driving and participation in Best care Always bundle compliance
• Quality Management, Infection Control
• Timeous accurate reporting to relevant management structure,
• Risk based patient surveillance, infection prevention surveillance
• Apply evidence-based practices including best care always
• Acts as custodian of events and drives events management, trend review and analysis
• Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time
• Competent nursing staff as it relates to risk management and infection prevention
• Coordinate the supportive role in Risk Management Training.

Job Requirements:

• Infection Prevention and Control experience essential, qualification in Infection Prevention will be an advantage
• Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
• Relevant experience in the nursing discipline
• Registered Nurse with a current SANC registration.
• Computer Literacy essential, SAP Knowledge would an added advantage
• Health Care experience in the private sector would be advantageous.
