Job Description:
This role will be responsible for optimising the Technical, Commercial, and Financial environments to maximise BT’s position, as well as ensuring bids and propositions are innovative, competitive and affordable, whilst maximising value to BT.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage senior stakeholder engagement.
- To provide expertise and leadership on the most significant bids in terms of value, strategic importance and complexity.
- Support multi-year bids, as well as supporting major deals up to £20m.
- Work with all relevant groups to develop and negotiate the final contract in readiness for hand-over to the Contract/Business Management team.
- Inform customers’ thinking on high level design; competitor reviews, taking planning forward, review PQQ and structure initial response and confirm submission criteria, reviews as we go forward – develop prop into a compelling bid.
- Stand up team, identify decision makers, get budget for programme for development win strategy.
- To shape and develop specific business opportunities, closing deals, negotiating contracts terms and pricing.
Job Requirements:
- Proven track record of co-ordination and bringing to a successful outcome significant complex deals within a communications environment.
- Create a competitive advantage to BT by leveraging and creating internal and external relationships, and applying the knowledge gained to improving bid success rates.
- Build and lead a virtual team to deliver commercially sound complex customer solutions/managed services whilst maintaining a positive experience for customers.
- Be comfortable with complexity and able to establish and communicate this complexity across a mixed team of sales, technology, service/delivery and financial professionals.
- Expert level knowledge of the solution components and pricing and P&L leavers across BT’s portfolio.
